Real Transformations with Dental Implants

We use modern Guided Implant Surgery technology to ensure your implants are placed perfectly, with minimal swelling and discomfort. Following the implant procedure, we place the crows to finish your look.

The Process

  1. Virtual Planning
Plan for implant placement using virtual guides, for safer, more predictable results.
  2. Phase 1: Implant The Post
Surgically position the implant beneath your gums to provide stable support for an artificial tooth.
  3. Phase 2: Allow Gums to Heal
Implants require approximately 4 months to heal before the new tooth can be placed.
  4. Phase 3: Mount Replacement to Post
Artificial tooth (or teeth) are fixed to the healed post.

The Akron Smile Difference

Many dentists refer their patients to specialists to implant the post that holds the artificial tooth. At Akron Smile, our highly-trained dentists use cutting-edge technologies to perform all stages of the process in-house, ensuring personalized, consistent care.

Answers to Common Questions about Dental Implants

Choosing a dental implant is a commitment and we want you to feel completely informed. Here are some of the questions we often receive from dental implant patients.

How long does the process take?

Placing the implant post usually takes about 40 minutes. Healing time takes 4 full months.

Will getting a dental implant hurt?

We take every precaution to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible. The entire procedure is done with the use of anesthesia. Most patients agree that having a tooth removed is more uncomfortable than the implant procedure.

Will getting a dental implant be expensive?

Total cost will depend on your insurance, but dental implants are a financial investment. While the procedure and implants themselves tend to be costlier than other services, we’re replacing your tooth with a permanent solution.

How long do dental implants last?

If cared for properly a dental implant will last forever. Excellent gum health and regular dental visits are critical to the long-term success of dental implants.
