-
What are dental veneers?
-
Dental veneers are made of porcelain and are crafed in a dental lab. They are shin sells designed to cover the front surface of a worn down or unattractive tooth in order to give the tooth a natural look.
-
What steps are involved in receiving a veneer?
-
After the dentist numbs the tooth and surrounding area, the tooth enamel around the tooth being treated will be trimmed in order to make room for the veneer. When ready the veneer will be placed to the front surface of your tooth.
-
How long will porcelain veneers last?
-
Porcelain veneers can last between seven and twenty years, depending on the patient’s care. If any damage or movement of the veneer occurs, we can help ensure that they are put back into place & fixed.
-
Do porcelain veneers stain?
-
Porcelain veneers are created to prevent stains, but it is recommended to stay away from actions that could lead to stainings – such as drinking coffee or smoking. Normal tooth maintenance should be conducted on these veneers, as you would with a regular tooth.
