What to Expect at Akron Smile
Most of us are parents ourselves, so we know what it’s like to bring a child to a dentist. Our approach to a great appointment is twofold. We work as quickly as possible and we educate as we go. No matter your age, when something is explained to you it becomes less scary
-
Do you see kids at your dental office?
-
Yes, we do! We’re a family-centric practice and we love offering dental care to children. All of the team members at Akron Smile have kids of their own, so we understand what makes a successful pediatric visit.
-
When do I need to start bringing my child to the dentist?
-
The AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry) recommends children begin seeing a dentist by their first birthday. We definitely want to see kids once all of their teeth have come in – no later than 2 years old.
-
Why is it so important to keep baby teeth intact?
-
When baby teeth stay in place, space is kept for permanent teeth to emerge. It keeps a healthy order in your child’s mouth.
